The Freedom Tree (1919)
Exactly one hundred years ago the town of Wingene planted a ‘freedom tree’ to celebrate the free space that was created by demolishing old buildings in the centre.
Three Friendly Giants (2019)
The old church, the renovated town house and the new leisure centre define the new park (initiated in 2019), as three friendly giants that watch over the park.
New forms make new buildings
